My name is Levi O'Connor and I'm the owner/operator of Seal Kayak Kaikōura, a wildlife based kayak experience based out of the breathtaking Kaikōura region of New Zealand. As a family owned and operated business we specialise in providing a unique, innovative and eco-friendly kayaking experience which offers guests the opportunity to have intimate encounters with the local marine life including seals, native seabirds, penguins and a host of other wildlife.

At Seal Kayak Kaikōura we pride ourselves on delivering the best small tour wildlife experience that Kaikōura has to offer and we have an amazing track record of creating memorable adventures that live long in customers' New Zealand travel memories. We operate with innovative Hobie pedal kayaks which mean our kayaks are hands free and suitable for everyone from small children all the way up to grandparents, with no experience needed. This fast and efficient system allows guests to freely use phones and cameras to capture their wildlife encounters and also photograph the magnificent Kaikōura peninsula and the surrounding mountain ranges.

All our tours are led by experienced and passionate guides who provide expert commentary on both the local Māori history and that of the post colonial whaling and sealing in the area too. We are committed to prioritising group safety as well as environmental sustainability. Making sure our clients have a deep appreciation of the natural beauty of the Kaikōura area and wildlife is paramount and ensuring we do our part to be a leader in responsible tourism in New Zealand.

We do understand that only a limited number of your tour packages travel through Kaikōura but we firmly believe our tour will add a different element to what's offered already.
